Eighteen years ago the crystal crash landed in San Francisco. Every baby born that day was given superpowers as a result--all except Tommy Watts, who was nicknamed Zero. Today the powered teens are stars on reality television and competitions, battling each other harmlessly for entertainment. One day, though, Tommy manifests a power unlike any other, and much more deadly. Suddenly the government, as well as the mentor of the other powered kids, seem to have their own plans for using Tommy's new power. However, Tommy and his powered friends have plans of their own.
